Vera S2E3 Many people didn't see Episode 3 which was due to be broadcast on Sunday 13th May - I emailed ITV, and got the following response:
"We regret the late change to the schedule and the non-appearance of Sunday’s episode of Vera.
The storyline of this episode concerns the death of a soldier in Afghanistan. Following the news of the deaths of two servicemen in Helmand province, it was considered appropriate to delay the broadcast of this particular episode. We have no information at the present time when this episode will be scheduled for broadcast."

Very Poor I can find little positive to say about this production of "Vera" other than the series must surely end soon. Adaptation is poor, script indulgent and does not work, direction very poor, editing indecisive, acting very dissapointing on this occassion from a normally good actress in lead role. Rubbish This is total rubbish, poor acting, over acting hysterical granny tries to be a detective, bring back Hetty Waintrhop it was 1000 times better. Vera has no real story line, is padded out by drivel and the main character seems to permanently suffer from PMT judging by the derogatory way she speaks to her male colleagues. Poor adaption The book is a cracking read. This adaption fails to emulate the tension of the novel, not helped by the changing of the 'why-done-it' and the absence of the character plotting so essential to understanding the motives of the suspects.
