licence to comment? If these guys cab't even cast the right man for narrator job, how on earth can they so smugly comment on what makes or breaks a good film?

Narration I agree with the 'Sound Man' comment of the 'voice over' in this series.
Mr Cousins' other excellent series is terribly let down by his heavy accent, spoken in a half whisper with each word as if spoken as a question is both hard to decipher and grating on the nerves in the pain threshold barrier.
While he might know his subject, narration is not his calling.
Its terrible and after 10mins I had to switch off. Its such a painfully dull voice - and if paint drying had a voice then this surely would be a perfect representation. abcboy11:14am Mon 10 Oct
Narration An interesting production, BUT WHAT ON EARTH ! WHAT !WHAT! WHO'S decision/idea was it to use a suicidal narrator. RUINED the whole production Spoot11:30pm Sat 8 Oct
Spoiled 'The Genius of Photography' got it right - informative and with well-paced narration. Combining writer/director/presenter roles was a step too far - the producer failed to have a quiet word at the outset. Cakeman7:13pm Sat 1 Oct
narration I can not remember hearing a more terrible narration voice. The guy seems to be on drugs or mentally handicapped. I know budgets are getting smaller but this is RIDICULOUS!!! Sound Man9:36pm Sat 17 Sep
