Where did yesterday's jackpot go? I love Pointless - unfortunately I do not get to see it every night as I am at work. I was watching last night when the jackpot was £10,000 and then when I tuned in today, we were back to £1,250. I did miss the first round but do the rules mean that if the jackpot isn't won by a certain amount, it goes back to £1,000?

Fantastic Pointless is much better than any other quiz show on TV - you can join in at home and you need some actual knowledge to answer the questions! One criticism only When somebody wins the jackpot, they have stopped telling us what other answers were pointless. Most irritating if you are playing at home.
Otherwise an excellent show; I imagine the criticisms of Alexander Armstrong come from thickos who do not lke quiz shows where you actually have to be knowledgeable to win (unlike, say, The Weakest Link) KenDavie4:09pm Tue 8 Nov

reply to UNMPIU - wrong answer: finches the finch question only applied to finches native to the UK. the zebra finch is native to australia (according to the show) hence the bbc was right to disallow the contestants answer.
