Child Abuse I watched this evenings episode of Holby in which a suspected Child Abuse issue was raised. I thought this matter was dealt with in a very misleading fashion. Greg advised the young girl in question that he wouldn't say anything about the suspected abuse without her permission and encouraged her to do something about it. The real world is a very different place. In cases where we suspect/have evidence of abuse we must pass this information on to the relevant authorities for investigation and in no way are we in a position to assure a child that we won't say anything without their permission. Can it get much worse? I have watched Holby from the first episode apart from when I was in hospital myself for many weeks. To me the whole prog has gone downhill so much, I think if Mr. Meyer returned he would be the one needing heart surgery after seeing all the staff carry on the way they do. Mr Hanssen must have got the most filmed shoes in the whole of tv. Why is it so necessary to show him marching about the hospital so frequently? Is it the camera man's little joke. Holby City Rocks with miss Shah in it I love holby city i think it's the best programme in the whole world i watch it every tuesday, my favourite characters are Miss Shah and Miss Naylor although she is abit of a grass. i like them the best because i think they are relly good characters. Gone downhill I used to really enjoy watching holby but ever since they axes that huge selection of characters back in the winter its gone downhill. They've introduced too many new characters too quickly and given them all the big storylines! I like Chantelle and Eddie but Sahira please she is awful! Always in the limelight but ever so boring! And Keller a ward that used to have some of the best characters in (sacha and Jac) has gone to the dogs! Elizabeth is terribly boring and shouldn't be a regular! The only good chacacters are those down in AAU (including Michael when he's down there) and Jac Naylor! Rosie marcel is an amazing actress and should get much bigger storylines than she does! That one with her mother was brilliantly done! Also this whole plastics storyline is stupid michaels not one of the bad guys! I've been watching causalty and holby and always preferred holby but recently causalty has become my favourite and so Holby needs to up their game or I'm gonna stop watching! Should I stay or should I go? I've been watching Holby for as long as I can remember. It's the only 'continuing drama' I do watch on a regular basis. I'm not into the soaps, but even I have started to question why I am watching Holby. I'm hoping it gets better but I might have to stop. What has happened to Holby? I used to love the show and have watched it for many years. It was about the hospital and not all about the characters personal issues. Since Connie left, lots of new and annoying cast members have joined. The new cast are not a patch on the old and even Chrissie is getting annoying. If you don't change the format back and get some decent cast, then only more people are going to switch off. Dr Dan and Malek - what a load of rubbish! Bring back Connie is what I say! Not as good as it was Hanssen is trying to be Anton Meyer. It'll never work. He's not good looking, has no sex appeal, no charisma and you can't beat the master.Sad they have to re-create characters to try and make the show better. I used to be a big fan but not so much.It used to have good storey lines and was semi realistic. As a nurse I even wanted to work in Holby. Time for breaks, leaving the hospital during your shift,always chatting, interfearing where it doesn't belong, breaking confidentiality, doctors running the hospital, always beds on the wards and theatre time - when can I start?
