I loved it too I watched every single episode and at times was moved to tears. my first three children were born in the sixties and i remember ashtrays being passed round at the ante natal clinic! My youngest wwas born in the eighties when things were different. I remember every single midwife and always will. Some of the scenes moved me to tears, well done to to everyone concerned. I loved Miranda as "Chummy",brilliant casting. Roll on the next series. I intend to read the books too. Feather8:30pm Sun 26 Feb

one word AWESOME ! I am loving this program i think the story lines are excellent as is the characters ! wish i had a part in it, it looks lik so much fun ! Can not wait for the next episode or series for that matter ! for all you haters out there you speak utter rubbish ! phonie x8:12pm Tue 21 Feb
No more shallow comments, please Viewers who cannot stomach the realities portrayed should return to their cotton wool cacoons and only watch the Disney Channel. They should also never contemplate a family of their own without a blindfold, ear plugs,a clothes peg for their nose and a bucket as a permanent companion. As for the "hate Miranda" squad, no doubt they would relish the opportunity to rise from their armchairs and use their consummate skills to audition for the part, and oust the lady in question by means of superior skill. I, for one, will look forward to the next series with the present cast. DUKWdriver2:30pm Mon 20 Feb
Against the grain Love it, but sometimes have to change channels for a minute or so to avoid the untra-sad! Reminds me of being a kid. Child of the 40's / 50's7:02pm Sun 19 Feb
Oh no not her again Why is it that every time I tune in to the BBC that awful Miranda Hart is on!! Call the Midwife is not a bad drama but could be much improved without Hart. Sarah K5:58pm Tue 7 Feb
Please not on sunday evening After our sunday meal around 8.00pm we like to watch a bit of telly. Imagine the horror, after consuming red meat a so-called drama about childbirth. Please not on a sunday evening....better for womens afternoon t.v. or not at all. On behalf of male viewers4:48pm Sun 5 Feb

Yuck! Yuck! More purile, pathetic TV to avoid, and that's just Miranda ( I am so over rated) Hart :)Can the BBC please produce some watchable Television programmes again? Please? This programme is dire, depressing, stomach churning and pretty awful. Miranda Hart is a crap comedian and proof here she isn't a good actor either. Avidly avoiding the BBC more and more these days, Still have to pay the bloody TV licence! Shadowbane11:07am Sat 21 Jan
